Special events taking place in Boston this weekend will require streets closures and parking restrictions. The Boston Transportation Department encourages participants and spectators to leave their private vehicles at home and take advantage of the MBTA.
Running with the Bridesmaids will be held on Saturday, September 29, beginning at 10 AM, at the intersection of Washington and Summer Streets in Downtown Crossing. An estimated 1,000 runners will make their way from Summer Street to Winter Street, crossing Tremont Street to enter the Boston Common, running around the Boston Common, crossing Tremont Street back to Winter Street to Washington Street and back to Summer Street.
The Beantown Jazz Festival will be held on Saturday, September 29, in the South End. Columbus Avenue, from Massachusetts Avenue to Burke Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5 Am to Midnight. The following temporary parking restrictions will be posted.

The Phantom Gourmet Food Festival will be held on Sunday, September 30, in the Fenway. Lansdowne Street and Ipswich Street, from Brookline Avenue to Ipswich Street to Charlesgate East to Van Ness Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3 AM to 7 PM.
Temporary “Tow Zone, No Stopping, Sunday” signs will be posted at the following locations.

Both sides, from Jillian’s Club to the alley between the gas station
and the Boston Arts Academy
North side, (Jillian’s side), from #145 Ipswich Street heading easterly,

Boylston Street.
