Mayor Menino's Food & Fuel Campaign is a partnership among government, businesses and non-profit organizations that are helping residents and small businesses address the rising costs of food and fuel.
Continuing his Food + Fuel campaign, Mayor Menino will host the Second Annual Food + Fuel Summit at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury on Saturday, September 12 from 9AM-1PM. Boston residents will be able to attend a resource fair where they can find information on food and fuel programs as well as community assistance from area organizations. Workshops focused on home weatherization and credit counseling will also be held along with a healthy eating demonstration. Seasonal flu shots will also be available on a "first come, first served" basis.
In the coming months, there will be another round of community dinners (Neighborhood DISH) at area schools and community centers. More information and the current schedule of "Neighborhood DISH" events will be available soon.
In addition to these events, there are a variety of existing programs that can help Boston residents. A selection of these services is listed below.
