Mayor Walsh Reflects on His First 101 Days in Office

On January 6, 2014, Martin J. Walsh became the 54th Mayor of Boston. During his first 101 days in office, Mayor Walsh has worked tirelessly toward making Boston a city where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. Five key priorities to date build upon Boston’s strengths, while carrying the City into the future:

  1. Strengthening the economy & creating good jobs

  2. Improving public safety & combating gun violence

  3. Ensuring Boston Public Schools enable the success of all children

  4. Increasing accessibility & transparency in City government

  5. Serving all Boston’s neighborhoods and residents

The City will dive in with “Walsh 101” on Next.CityofBoston.gov, where we explore the first 101 days: what has been accomplished, and what lies ahead.
