Mayor Cuts Ribbons for Four Main Streets Businesses
On September 26th, Mayor Menino joined DND Director Evelyn Friedman and Upham's Corner Main Street business owners and residents to celebrate four businesses in the Upham's Corner Main Street District. The businesses included Brothers Supermarket, CV Liquors, Restaurant Laura, Thony's Unisex Salon. The three businesses received storefront design assistance from the Office of Business Development. 
CV Liquors
Restaurant Laura
Mayor Menino and Evelyn Friedman cut the ribbons for CV Liquors and Restaurant Laura with the owners.  Arlindo and Laura Correia completed the $64,000 storefront improvement with design help and $10,000 in financial support from Upham's Corner Main Street and ReStore Boston.   
Thorny's Unisex Salon

Mayor Menino and Evelyn Friedman cut the ribbon for Thony's Unisex Salon with owner Thony Alves and building owner Sean Byrne of Aubour Hill Realty.  Aubour Hill Realty completed this exterior improvement with a $5000 grant from ReStore Boston.  

Brothers Supermarket

Mayor Menino and Evelyn Friedman celebrate the Grand opening for Brothers Supermarket with Ambioris and German Fernandez.
