How to Help

Book Drives
ReadBoston provides community centers, family childcare providers, and after-school programs with thousands of free books each year. With these new resources, community groups are able to improve their existing literacy programs and to implement new ones. By supporting such programs, ReadBoston helps expand literacy into additional parts of a child’s day, beyond school hours.

In order to provide these community groups with books, we rely on local businesses, schools and organizations to hold book drives to collect new and gently used books. Book drives are a fun and easy way for members of the community to get involved and help ReadBoston work towards achieving our goals.

If you would like to coordinate a book drive, please call Katie Sullivan at 617-918-5286.
