Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Gas Fitting
- PERMIT TO PERFORM PLUMBING WORK
FORM USED- BD10- Applicant must complete all areas of the application.
- Applicant must be a Massachusetts licensed plumber.
- Applicant may apply for a permit either in person or through the mail.
- Applicant must present a plumbing license and a photo identification to ISD staff
- FEE SCHEDULE:
- $10.00 Primary Fee plus $5.00 per fixture
- PERMIT TO PERFORM ELECTRICAL WORK
- Applicant must complete all areas of the application.
- Applicant must be a Massachusetts licensed electrician.
- Applicant may apply for a permit either in person or through the mail.
- Depending on the nature of work performed, a building code review may be required.
- Applicant must present an electrician's license and photo identification to ISD staff
- FEE SCHEDULE:
- $10.00 primary fee plus $.25 AMP up to 240 volts
- $10.00 Primary fee plus $.75 AMP over 240 volts
- $10.00 primary fee plus $1.00 for each fixture, plug, or outlet
- WHEN NONE OF THE ABOVE APPLY:
- $7.00 primary fee plus $10.00 per $1,000.00 of estimated cost 1,000 voltage
- $7.00 primary fee plus $10.00 per 1,000 in construction cost
- PERMIT TO DO GAS FITTING
FORM USED- BD13 - Applicant must complete all areas of the application.
- Applicant must be licensed to install gas fittings in Massachusetts.
- Applicant must present their gas fitting license and photo identification to ISD staff.
- FEE SCHEDULE:
- $10.00 primary fee plus $5.00 per appliance/meter approved and $.09 per 1,000 BTUs
- BOILERS/HEATERS/FURNACES
- $15.00 plus $5.00 for each 100 lbs. Of gas stored
- INDUSTRIAL OVENS
- $50.00 each
- PERMIT TO INSTALL FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS
- Applicant must be licensed to install fire protection systems in Massachusetts.
- Applicant may apply for a permit either in person or through the mail.
- Other than maintenance pre-engineered systems, the applicant must have been issued a building permit. This is required for compliance with 789 CMR
- FEE SCHEDULE:
- Sprinkler Installation: $25.00 plus $1.00 per head
- Fire Alarm: $5.00 plus $1.00 per heat and/or smoke detector, if fare alarm is done alone without any other work (cost of work must be declared in the building Permit).
