Newsletters will provide updates on the following:

• Regional discipline subcommittees activities;
  
  
• Major homeland security initiatives being undertaken by the Office of Homeland Security and its regional partners;
• Administrative and operational policies and procedures;
  
  
• Training and exercises;
  
  
• Interagency and interdisciplinary planning;
  
  
• Guidance and information from the Department of Homeland Security; and
  
  
• Federal, state and local homeland security conferences and meetings.

In the coming months the design and content of the newsletter will be expanded as projects gain momentum, subcommittees continue to work on homeland security planning, and the newsletter's distribution increases.
