    Prevent Stolen Mail Packages

    Protect your mail packages from being stolen this holiday season by not leaving them unattended on your doorstep. The BPD warns residents to make sure to communicate to your mail carrier that in order for the package to be dropped off at the residence, someone must be present at the residence and the receiver of the package must have an ID and proof of residency.

    Adopt a Hydrant Now Launched!

    This winter, the New Urban Mechanics are launching the volunteer-based Adopt-A-Hydrant program, a first-of-its-kind effort. Residents can volunteer to keep hydrants in their neighborhood accessible to firefighters after snowstorms. The app was developed by Erik Michaels-Ober, a Code for America fellow who served with the City in 2011.
