Mayor Menino's 6th Annual Green Awards

"It is my hope that these awards will encourage Boston businesses and residents to engage in environmentally sustainable practices, learn more about such practices, and initiate their own sustainability efforts and programs." -Mayor Thomas M. Menino

Boston Green Awards recognize achievements in the City's residential, business, and sustainable food sectors. Residential Awards recognize residents and residential organizations in Boston that are committed to sustainable living. Winners in this category demonstrate exemplary sustainable practices in their homes and communities. Business Awards recognize extraordinary performance related to sustainable environmental practices.  The Sustainable Food Leadership Awards, started by Mayor Thomas M. Menino in 2011, recognize efforts by businesses that work to provide the freshest, local food in the most sustainable manner.

    2012 Green Awards

    On April 19th at Gillette Headquarters in South Boston, Mayor Thomas M. Menino announced winners of the 6th Annual Green Awards! Awards were given to 3 Green Residents, 2 Sustainable Food Leaders, and 11 Green Businesses.
