Standards and Criteria
(Design Guidelines) for the FPCLD
|
The Study Committee is currently drafting Standards and Criteria for the proposed FPCLD which will serve as design guidelines for the district commission once the district is designated. Please see the draft outline for the Standards and Criteria for an overview of the features that will be addressed. This page will be updated regularly with drafts of the Standards and Criteria as they are developed. Please note that until the entire Study Report is accepted by the Study Committee, these Standards and Criteria are in draft form. In the interest of productively moving forward in the development of the standards and criteria for the pending FPCLD, and being able to give full consideration to public comments on sections of the standards and criteria as they are being developed, the Fort Point Channel Study Committee requests that any written comments on the standards and criteria scheduled to be discussed at the next meeting be submitted to Boston Landmarks Commission staff no later than the Monday preceding the meeting by 12 noon, or the Friday preceding the meeting by 3pm when Monday is a holiday. Please submit an electronic copy of written comments to kathryn.mclaughlin@cityofboston.gov. Distribution of those comments to the Committee members will be made before the meeting as efficiently as possible. Presentation of additional comments may also be made verbally to the Committee at that meeting. If the Committee's discussion on a section of the standards and criteria extends beyond a single meeting, comments on any new or revised language will be considered at the next meeting. Once the Committee has voted to accept a particular section of the standards and criteria, further comments on those sections will not be addressed until a future meeting after all of the standards and criteria has been completed. At that time the Committee will make a final review of the entire document. The Committee has accepted the Study Report, including Standards and Criteria."
