Events

The Elderly Commission offers the senior citizens of Boston an array of events to attend each year.  These events are intended to provide an opportunity for seniors to stay active and meet new friends. For more information; call the Public Relations unit at 617-635-3959.

  • Holiday Craft Bazaar & Senior Health Fair

Meetings

The Elderly Commission hosts task force meetings every month in City Hall.  These meetings intend to promote civic engagement and allow seniors and senior service providers a platform to share their ideas and concerns.  Below is a listing of the monthly task forces.  If you have any questions or would like to know when the next meeting is, please call 617-635-4366. 

Mayor's Advisory Council: Meets on the first Friday of the month, September - June
Health Mayor’s Health and Long-Term Care Task Force: Meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 9-10:30am in room 115.
Elderly Advocacy Task Force Meeting: Meets on the fourth Friday of every month in the Piemonte Room (5th floor) from 10am-11am

Commemorative Certificates

Would you like to receive or have a card sent to a special relative or friend from the Mayor of Boston on a special occasion? Each year the Mayor sends out hundreds of certificates and/or greeting cards honoring Boston residents on a milestone occasion.
