REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

270 Talbot Avenue & Spencer Street, Dorchester

Commercial Buildings

The City of Boston acting by and through its Public Facilities Commission by the Director of the Department of Neighborhood Development, Real Estate Management and Sales Division, sells tax foreclosed or surplus municipal property to buyers who agree to invest in the rehabilitation of the property.  Residential, commercial and institutional buildings and land are included in this program. 

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is soliciting proposals to develop the property for commercial use.  It is strongly recommended that prospective developers avail themselves of an opportunity to inspect the Site so that they may prepare their proposals accordingly.

The Properties are:

270 Talbot Avenue (Ward 17, Parcel Number 00593-000), approx 15,753 sq. ft and Spencer Street (Ward 17, Parcel Number 00592-000), approx 8,930 sq. ft. in the Dorchester district of the City of Boston.

The RFP proposal package will be available on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at DND, Bid Counter, 26 Court Street, 10th Floor, Boston, MA 02108. The properties will be open for public viewing on:
Friday, October 2, 2009 – 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM
Friday, October 23, 2009 – 10:00 AM until 11:00AM

Completed proposal forms must be submitted as instructed and delivered directly to the Bid Counter, 10th Floor, DND, 26 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108 by November 4, 2009, no later than 4:00 PM.  Late Proposals will not be accepted.  For more information about this Request for Proposals contact Christopher Rooney, Project Manager at (617) 635-0493.
