Brownfields Assessment and Cleanup
Boston's Brownfields program includes a model for prioritizing the City's inventory of Brownfield properties that includes assessment, remediation, redevelopment, and reuse.
This comprehensive approach, which has been acknowledged by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a potential state-wide model has allowed the City to efficiently focus its limited resources in order to restore Brownfield properties to productive use.
