The Community Comments Service provides a convenient on-line option for residents to voice their opinions about DND’s proposed property sales even if they are not able to attend a public meeting. On-line comments received through this service will be used in combination with in-person comments received at community meetings to help guide DND’s decisions about its property sales. Comments will be accepted through both means until a developer has been selected for the property.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
WILL I RECEIVE A REPLY FROM DND ON MY COMMENT? No. DND will aggregate all of the comments it receives to help it understand the various interests and sentiments from the community. Our goal is to develop some consensus on a development plan, and not engage in individual conversations that would result in some commenters having a larger voice than others. WHY ARE COMMENTS NOT ACCEPTED AFTER A DEVELOPER HAS BEEN SELECTED? The purpose Community Comments Service is to help DND make good choices in deciding 1) what is to be developed on its property and 2) who is best able to do that development. Once a developer has been selected, those choices have been made, and additional community input cannot affect that decision. After this, there are additional opportunities for community engagement though the development permitting process administered through the Boston Redevelopment Authority and Inspectional Services Department. WILL MY COMMENTS REMAIN CONFIDENTIAL? DND wants you to be as honest and forthright as possible about your opinions. So that you do not have to worry about what others in your community think of your opinion, DND will not publish any on-line comments that it receives. DND may summarize the results of the on-line comments in its community meetings, but comments will never be attributed to any individual or organization without express permission from you. DND will not, however, accept any anonymous comment submissions. All information you provide is, however, subject to Public Records Laws to which DND must adhere.
