Fields Corner Main Street, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director (ED) to lead the business district revitalization efforts on behalf of the organization.

The Mission of Fields Corner Main Street is to ensure that Fields Corner continues to be a thriving, welcoming, and secure district comprised of diverse businesses serving local residents and attracting visitors from throughout the city. Our mission is to also promote Fields Corner-encouraging more people to live, work, shop, and dine in the district.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with proven experience in public relations, community building and outreach, building a team approach to consensus building with business and building owners to further enhance the benefits and awareness of the business district and the residents it serves both locally and across the city.

  • Ability to accommodate a demanding yet flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary.

  • Bilingual/trilingual abilities encouraged and preferred to work with an economically and culturally diverse community.

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Social Media applications, Quick Books, and related financial reporting programs.

  • Applicant must also possess proven grant writing experience.

  • Staff, coordinate, and help implement the work of the board and relevant volunteer committees, including meeting agenda management, board communication, etc.

  • Coordinate efforts to market and promote the business district by developing promotional materials and events, maintain the organizations website, newsletter, and other outreach material.

  • Manage and administer the organization, including recordkeeping, budget development, office administration, accounting, data base development, and monthly reporting to the board and to Boston Main Streets.

  • Recruit and supervise volunteers.

  • Update and maintain FCMS social media presence on Twitter and Facebook pages, including responding to messages and posts, and expanding the presence as new technologies develop.
