Home Repair Services

The Boston Home Center offers Boston's homeowners an array of programs to help renovate their homes, purchase and rehabilitate "fixer-uppers," and upgrade condominiums in one to four family properties. In addition, the Home Center has a series of programs designed to meet the particular needs of Boston's elder homeowners, as well as programs to mitigate the effects of lead-based paint hazards in Boston's older housing stock. These programs provide a comprehensive package of services including repair estimates, grants, zero percent (0%) and below market rate loans, contractor selection, and project monitoring for income eligible property owners.

Home Repair Programs

Boston HomeWorks - a variety of programs to help you repair, renovate, and paint your home: Homeworks, Historic HomeWorks, PaintWorks Plus, and the Emergency Loan program.

Lead Safe Boston Program - provides a financial and technical resource for qualified owners to delead their property and reduce the risk of lead-paint poisoning in children.

Homeowner 201 and 202 - courses designed to help you protect your investment in your home, manage your personal finances, succeed as a landlord or condo owner.

Senior Homeowner Repair Programs - programs designed to help seniors with minor or moderate repairs, emergency repairs, and heating problems.
