The Boston Home Center runs a series of two-hour seminars that detail the features, benefits, eligibility requirements and application process for our financial assistance programs for both homebuyers and homeowners. Applications will be available.

Housing EXPOs – Housing EXPOs are held throughout the year in various Boston neighborhoods. Attendees learn about programs and services from the Boston Home Center and our community partners. They can also attend seminars on a variety of homebuying and homeowning topics.

How to Live Within your Means – A two-hour seminar to help you evaluate your current financial status, and to learn how to adjust your finances to accommodate your personal situation.

CreditSmart® – An eight-hour course to learn everything you need to know about establishing and maintaining a record of good credit, and how to avoid credit traps.

Meet the Lenders – A two-hour networking opportunity to meet with several different mortgage lenders to understand their products and your purchase and refinance options.

MBHP Workshops for Property Owners– Required for all buyers purchasing multi-family properties, these workshops cover landlord roles and responsibilities, as well as professional training on tenant related issues, financial resources, and Massachusetts law.
