Contest Information

A friendly competition, Deck the Windows focuses on businesses located in a Boston Main Streets district, although the City encourages businesses city-wide to showcase their festive holiday spirit. The contest is part of Mayor Menino’s Deck the City campaign, encouraging both residents and business owners to celebrate the holiday season by decorating their homes and local businesses districts.

The Deck the Windows holiday storefront decorating competition tested local businesses’ creativity during the holiday season. More than 400 windows were decorated by Wednesday, November 28. The public voting stage of the contest concluded on December 18, and the top three businesses were announced on Thursday, December 20 by Mayor Menino.
