Local Celebrity Judges 2010

After the online voting period concludes on Friday, December 17th, these local celebrities will have the final say on the top three best windows – to be announced by Mayor Menino on Tuesday, December 21st.

Alexandra Hall is currently Executive Editor for the Lifestyle of Boston Magazine, and has more than ten years’ experience as a critic, lifestyle writer and editor of lifestyle topics in boston and beyond. A native bostonian, she has served as food editor of bostonsidewalk.com, editor-in-chief of boston.citysearch.com, and senior editor with dailycandy.com, among other posts.  Alex continues to write for publications including: condé nast traveler, bon appétit, town & country, elle decor, and the new york times. She lives in Jamaica Plain with her husband and fellow writer, michael blanding, their four-year-old son Zachary, two-year-old daughter, Cleo, and their cat named Dog.

Christopher Bratton is the President of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA), Deputy Director of the Museum of Fine Arts, where he is responsible for attracting groundbreaking artists from around the world, conceptualizing innovative and distinctive programs that continue to enhance the value of an SMFA education and strengthening partnerships between the School and the MFA. Before joining the MFA in July of 2010, Mr. Bratton was president and chief executive officer at San Francisco Art Institute.

Daniela Corte is a local fashion designer whose creations embody fashion-meets-function bravado—that all-too-rare balance of practicality and panache. A graduate of the Boston Fashion School, Corte worked with several well-known Boston designers before founding her own women’s line in 2000 and opening her own studio in the Back Bay. She has received numerous awards for her creations, including Best Local Fashion Designer from Boston Magazine and Distinguished Alumni Award from The Boston Fashion School, among others.

Hao Sheng is Curator of Chinese art at the Museum of Fine Arts. Mr. Sheng recently oversaw the opening of “Fresh Ink: Ten Takes on Chinese Tradition,” which opened to rave reviews and is the inaugural exhibit of the MFA's new Ann and Graham Gund Gallery. Mr. Sheng received his Masters in Chinese Art History from Harvard University, where he is also a Ph.D. candidate, and he is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Asian American Civic Association.

Jill Radsken is Fashion Editor for the Boston Herald. An award-winning reporter, she is considered one of the city's most respected fashion writers. Jill is co-founder of “I Have Nothing to Wear,” an annual shopping event to benefit area children's charities. She also serves on the nominating committee for the Council of Fashion Designers of America's Fashion Awards. She's a regular contributor to “Matty in the Morning” on WXKS/KISS 108-FM. 

Mary Richardson is currently the Community Liaison for Caritas Christi Health Care System.  In that role, she uses a variety of tools to ensure that the communities served by Caritas hospitals are aware of the programs and services that are available to them. Richardson was co-anchor of WCVB-TV’s Chronicle, the nation’s longest running locally produced nightly newsmagazine.
