| Special Committee on Federal Stimulus Oversight, which shall exercise oversight of the portion of the Federal Stimulus Package Funds that the City applies for and/or receives, whether as general fund revenue, loans, grants, or revenue for capital projects. The Committee will focus on the best use of these one-time funds and how these funds will stimulate the economy, with the focus of creating and sustaining employment, with the ultimate goal of improving services for residents and businesses. The Special Committee shall share oversight with the specific standing committee that holds the responsibility for the programs or departments impacted by the funds received. The Special Committee will be required to conduct a hearing on all items referred to it within 21 days of submission to the Council. |
