2009 is a municipal election year in the City of Boston.
There are three (3) filing dates for Campaign Finance Reports as follows:
- eight (8) days before the Preliminary Election
- eight (8) days before the Final Election
- A Final Report is due in January after the Final Election

All candidates for Mayor and At-Large City Councilor are required to file campaign finance reports with the Office of Campaign and Political Finance, John W. McCormack Building, One Ashburton Place, Room 411, Boston, MA 02108. For more information, contact OCPF directly at 617-979-8300 or www.mass.gov/ocpf.
Under state law, the Office of Campaign and Political Finance can levy a fine of $10.00 per day for each day a candidate's report is late.

The Masschusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance offers "seminars" each Wednesday at 2 PM in Room 411 at the McCormack State Office Building located at One Ashburton Place in Boston (next to the State House).
