Department of Neighborhood Development Awards Recovery Funds
In late July, the City issued a Request for Proposals on how best to spend $7.4 million in federal Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) funds to fight homelessness by significantly expanding prevention services. The City is looking to create a homelessness prevention program where the funded agencies will work in collaboration to create a coordinated City-wide program. This funding was made possible through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Proposals were due on August 17th, and the Department of Neighborhood Development has recently allocated awards - a total of $7.4 million to 13 agencies across Boston. Attached is the breakdown of funded programs.
