Offering Education and Employment Opportunities to
Increase Skill Levels and Get on the Path to
Self-Sustainability:
Labor market studies show that a person's life-long earning prospects as well as other quality of life measures such as longevity and overall health is directly connected to the level of education one achieves. As such, it is Y.O. Unlimited’s aim to ensure all of our young people are working toward furthering their education.
Y.O. Unlimited offers tutoring, individualized computer-based instruction and placement in alternative education programs that grant either a GED or a high school diploma. GED Plus through Ecumerical Social Action Committee is an on-site GED preparation program and the Community Transition School, a Boston Public Schools-Department of Youth Services collaboration, offering education services to young people re-entering the community from long-term treatment are both housed at Y.O. Unlimited. For information about the alternative education programs collaborate with Y.O. Unlimited, go to www.altedbps.org »
