WriteBoston is collaborating with community groups to extend its programs:
Boston Plan for Excellence
The Boston Plan currently manages, in collaboration with the Boston Public Schools, reform work in 60 of the city’s 132 public schools and provides financial aid advising and “last-dollar” ACCESS college scholarships to graduates of the city’s public schools.
Boston Private Industry Council
The Boston Private Industry Council is a nonprofit   workforce intermediary that builds connections between
employers, labor, schools, training providers, and public agencies. We bring these groups together to help employers find and train workers, to help young people prepare for success, and to help adults locate appropriate training and job opportunities.
Boston Public Schools
We welcome the children of this city into the Boston Public   Schools, where effective teaching and learning prepare all   of our students to achieve at high levels, and where the   entire community works together to focus on children.
Citizen Schools
Citizen Schools is setting a new standard   for after-school and summer programs for   children 9-14 in Boston and across the U.S.
Through “apprenticeships” with local experts, children learn real-world skills, build self-confidence, and connect with their communities. Adults say "Wow!" when they see what kids accomplish at Citizen Schools!
Harvard Children’s Initiative
The Harvard Children's Initiative (HCI) seeks to focus all of   Harvard’s resources on an urgent issue: children’s ability   to grow to healthy, productive adulthood.
Institute for Responsive Education
The Institute for Responsive Education (IRE) is a   research, policy, and advocacy organization that   encourages and supports school, family, and community   partnership to enable high quality educational
opportunities for all children. We believe that schools, families, and communities all share the responsibility to improve schools and raise education standards.
Office of Jobs and Community Services
Jobs and Community Services plans, procures, manages,   coordinates, leverages, and dispenses public and private   funds and services to empower Boston residents through
education, training, career development, and human services.
