Energy efficiency rebates and incentives are an important tool for business owners seeking to reduce their carbon footprint and expenses. Energy efficiency information is often publicly available, but difficult to digest. The Green Tech initiative will help business owners by creating a one-stop shopping location for this information. If the utility incentive research is completed, other green business incentive research can be pursued.

Living Wage Legal Intern
The Living Wage Administrator of the Living Wage and Earned Tax Income Credit Department of the Jobs and Community Services Division (JCS) is in need of a legal intern. The Living Wage Division of the City of Boston is responsible for the oversight and compliance of the Boston Jobs and Living Wage Ordinance. This internship will allow the law student to develop expertise in the ordinance and its companion regulations, as well as special education law and regulations.

Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) & Economic Innovations Intern
Internships in the EITC department will assist with operations, program and policy development and implementation, legislative and advocacy work around progressive tax policies and procedures. The EITC component of the Jobs and Community Services Division operates a network of free tax preparation clinics across Boston that provide free tax preparation and electronic filing as well as wrap around wealth building services, food stamps and mass health enrollment. In addition the division participates in citywide, state and national anti poverty policy and advocacy campaigns.
