How TGH Has Changed the Life of the Talbot Family

Every Day Since The Talbot Family Graduated From TGH

The Technology Goes Home program not only taught us how to use a computer, it also gave us the confidence to put our knowledge to better ourselves. My children have gotten better grades in school because they have access to so much information on the net and have been taught correctly how to search the web.

My oldest son Mark, as well as my other four children use the computer every day. They do all their school projects and activities and have been able to bring all their grades up at least one grade level. Mark won first place in the essay and poster contest at Brighton Law Day, because he was able to find so much valuable information on the computer. My daughter Kelly uses the computer not only for her homework, but to contribute articles to her school newspaper. Our youngest son Christopher has also become very computer literate and has done book reports and has found articles for science projects on the net. Learning has been given a newfound enthusiasm since our graduating in December 2000.

I have also had much success since graduating from Tech Goes Home. With the help of the staff of TGH, I was given a scholarship and successfully graduated from medical billing school. I am now capable of earning twice as much as a year ago. The computer in the home made it possible for me to be able to achieve this and take care of my five children at the same time.

We not only gained a computer, and the knowledge to use it by participating in this program, we also gained a friend in Wendy McPherson of the Allston Brighton CDC. We are truly grateful.
