Hub On Wheels Sunday, September 21, 2008
The fourth annual Hub On Wheels bike ride and festival, organized by Mayor Thomas M. Menino and the City of Boston, will depart from City Hall Plaza early on Sunday morning. Tour Boston like you've never done beforeon your bike with no cars to get in your way. You'll ride over scenic pathways, colorful side streets, and main roadways including a car-free Storrow Drive! You can choose from a 25 or 45-mile loop, or (we hope) a shorter 10-mile out-and-back option. Either way, it's a great opportunity to see the city and meet people from all over Boston.
After the morning rides, a bicycling celebration and festival will be held on City Hall Plaza. The goal is a day of fun for all. Please join us. For more information, or to register, visit Hub On Wheels.
Technology Goes Home Graduation 2007 Saturday, June 2, 2007
Several thousand families attended the Technology Goes Home graduation ceremony with Mayor Menino at Wentworth Institute of Technology. At the graduation, a family from each school and neighborhood collaborative received a special Family of the Year Award for outstanding performance and they had their pictures taken with Mayor Menino as they received their plaques. Their profiles also appeared in the graduation booklet. A Certificate of Achievement honored every TGH graduate. A celebration followed the ceremony.
