Next, the design consultant team developed several strategies for the redesigned street including two approaches which would take advantage of a narrowed roadway creating a more pedestrian-oriented environment with wider, more comfortable and accessible sidewalks.

These two strategies were presented at the community meeting held on May 10th to the community and property owners along the street. A hybrid scheme was then developed utilizing elements from each.
