In May 2005, he joined Electronic Arts Los Angeles as an executive producer.Doug Church recently spoke about the huge potential for industry and academic collaboration at the 2007 Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco (March 5 - 9, 2007). Church will discuss some hopes and fears about the collaboration and will consider what things might look like in the future and what opportunities (and obstacles) lie ahead. Church has been instrumental in developing relationships between industry and academia by serving as co-chair of the IGDA (International Game Developer's Association) Education Committee and helping develop curricula to train the next generation of game developers.
