Boat Excise Tax
Boat owners may now pay their Boat Excise Tax online by using the form below. Please note, you must pay your Boat Excise Tax to City of Boston before you can obtain a Mooring Permit.
NOTE: Online payment services are closed daily from 10:45PM to 12:15AM.

If there is no registration No. on your bill, enter a temporary ID in the registration No. field above.
Create the temp. ID from the tax year and bill number on your bill as TNyybbbbbb where yy are 2 last
digits of the tax year and bbbbbb is 6 digit bill no. For example a bill for year 2006 with bill no. 2455
will have temp. ID: TN06002455.
