Performance Report
Performance Highlights
- The Mayor's and Superintendent's agenda for schools is called the Acceleration Agenda. A core component of that agenda is ensuring graduation for all, which entails encouraging all students to stay in school and providing every student with the support he or she needs to succeed. Consequently, BPS closely follows trends in high school dropout rates and school attendance - a frequent early indicator of dropouts. Across all school levels, school attendance is stable or rising.
- BPS has achieved year over year increases in student achievement across the board. While some of this progress is evidenced in the climbing MCAS test scores, a full list of points of progress can be viewed here.
