Waterfront Performing Arts Series
Returns to Christopher Columbus Park for its 4th season on July 31.






 
Mayor Thomas M. Menino's Office of Arts, Tourism & Special Events will launch the fourth annual Waterfront Performing Arts Series on Tuesday July 31, from 6-8pm at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park.

The Waterfront Performing Arts Series, presented by JPMorgan Chase, will showcase various artistic genres including opera, classical music, ballet, modern dance, musical theater, soul, and pop. The 2007 series includes the following - all on Tuesday evenings, 6:00 pm:

July 31
Joshua Tree: A program produced in partnership with Boston Onein3 that pays tribute to classic U2 songs

August 7
Boston Lyric Opera previews their upcoming season including arias from La boheme, L'elisir d'amore, and other favorite arias

August 14
Soul City Band kicks things up with classic dance and lounge standards

August 21
The Boston Pops Ensemble, Boston Ballet, and Opera Boston get together for this special program featuring members of some of Boston's most Iconic cultural institutions

August 28
Boston Young Artists Showcase brings down the curtain on the season with special performances from Zumix, Riverside Theatre Works and Boston City Singers
