Believe it or not, most of our stray dogs are never claimed because their owners do not make the proper phone calls or wait too long to call. Dogs picked up by Animal control or dropped off by citizens are taken to the City of Boston Animal Control Shelter and Adoption Center:

Lost animals are waiting to be claimed at our shelter so call us right away if you have lost a pet. When you call, you must give us a detailed description of your pet and the location he/she was last seen. There's additional information in the
