Posted Street Cleaning Program
Daily street cleaning will run until November starting April 1st citywide and March 18th in the North End, South End, and Beacon Hill. Contracted and City-owned mechanical sweepers maintain (weather permitting) over 400 curb miles of posted streets Citywide. Over 100 curb miles are swept nightly, occuring year round in Downtown Boston, and an additional 40 arterial streets citywide will be swept once a week.

Non-Posted Street Cleaning
Non-posted streets are mechanically swept on a regularly scheduled basis.
Winter Street Sweeping Program
The Public Works Department will be expanding the posted street sweeping program in the North End and South End to include the months of December and March. No posted street sweeping will be done in January and February.
