WIC
WIC stands for Women, Infants & Children It is a free federal program that provides healthy food, nutrition & health information to qualified Massachusetts' families. WIC serves all types of families: married and single parents, working or not working. If you are a father, mother, foster or grandparent or other legal guardian of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC for your child.

To apply for WIC call 1-800-WIC-1007. To find local WIC offices in the City of Boston click http://mass.gov/wic External Link and follow the links to WIC office locations in Boston. You can participate in WIC if you:
  • Live in Massachusetts


  • Have a nutritional need (WIC staff can help you determine this)


  • Are a child under 5, a new mom, or a pregnant or breastfeeding woman


  • Have a family income less than WIC guidelines (shown below)
