Resident Parking Permit Renewal

Reminder: Resident Parking Permits must be renewed every two years.

Please read the following instructions before renewing it online.

  • Renew your permit 4-6 weeks prior to expiration only
  • Expired permits cannot be renewed online
  • The Transportation Department will verify that your vehicle is registered in your name and at your current Boston address
  • All outstanding City of Boston parking tickets must be paid before renewing your resident permit
