PTI Technology Solutions Award, 2010-2011: Street & Address Management
The City of Boston, like most other cities of its size, struggles with the issue of addressing. Most City departments deal with addresses in some form in their daily business process, and maintain their own list of addresses leading to duplication and confusion when locating addresses referred to in multiple ways. SAM (Street and Address Management) was created by the City as a master repository for all addresses in the City. SAM is not just a master address database but also a collection of tools designed to manage and maintain the address data.

PTI Technology Solutions Award, 2009-2010: GIS Data Hub
The GIS Data Hub was the winner in the Geospatial Information Systems category or Technology Solutions Awards from the Public Technologies Institute. The GIS Data Hub provides a resource for both City employees and residents to access maps, reports and charts using geographic data layers. The self-serve tool on the city's website, offers a more transparent tool for constituents.
