Mayor Menino is working with city departments and community leaders to coordinate Boston relief and response efforts to the disaster in Haiti.

    Mayor Menino has established a Haitian Family Relief Fund at Bank of America where residents can make donations to support relief efforts for families in Boston who are affected by the earthquake. Donations can be made via The Fund for Boston Neighborhoods, Inc. at Boston City Hall or Bank of America branches in Boston.

  • Referral and Support Center

    Mayor Thomas M. Menino announced that the City of Boston's resource center to assist local families affected by the recent earthquakes in Haiti will extend its operation through next week, with the potential to remain open after that time based on need. Opened on January 14, 2010 at SEIU Local 1199 in the wake of the disaster, the resource center is now located at the Mattapan branch of the Boston Public Library in order to better serve members of Boston's Haitian community still seeking updates and information about the earthquake and ongoing relief efforts. Translators will be available along with counseling support and immigration assistance. For more information call the Center at 617-593-0363.
