Paul Emrath
Paul Emrath is Assistant Staff Vice President of Housing Policy Research for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) where his responsibilities include conducting statistical and economic research on a wide variety of housing policy topics, estimating the economic impact of home building, and supervising the work of other Ph.D. economists. Since joining NAHB, he has developed many of the methods NAHB uses to analyze government programs and housing market data, published over 100 articles in various NAHB publications, and produced over 400 customized reports analyzing the impact of residential construction in various metropolitan areas, non-metropolitan counties, and states across the country. Before his promotion to Assistant Staff Vice President, he worked for NAHB as Housing Policy Analyst (1992-1994), Director of Survey Analysis (1994-1995), Senior Economist (1995-1999), and Regulatory Economist (1999-2001). Before joining NAHB, he taught economic theory and statistics at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
