DND provides services and programs to the City's neighborhoods through seven divisions: Administration & Finance, Director's Office, The Boston Home Center, Neighborhood Housing Development, Office of Business Development, Policy Development and Research, and Real Estate Management & Sales.

    Boston Receives $20.5M HUD Grant to Transform Dorchester's Quincy Street Corridor

    On September 1, 2011, Mayor Thomas M. Menino joined U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan as HUD announced that Boston is receiving $20.5M to redevelop the Woodledge/Morrant Bay Apartments and revitalize Dorchester’s Quincy Street Corridor. Boston is one of just five cities nationwide to receive first-ever Implementation Grants under HUD’s Choice Neighborhoods Initiative.
