Each year ReadBoston provides community groups with thousands of free books. By providing hese books, community centers, family childcare providers or after school programs that may not otherwise have literacy programs, or books to support them, are able to start such programs and distribute books to children and families. By supporting such programs, ReadBoston is able to integrate literacy into other parts of a child’s day, not just during school.

In order to provide these community groups with books, we rely on local businesses, schools and organizations to hold book drives to collect new and gently used books. Book drives are a fun and easy way for members of the community to get involved and help ReadBoston work towards achieving our goals.
