BCYF Programs & Events

BCYF provides a variety of programs and opportunities to enhance the quality of life and meet neighborhood interest and need for all Boston residents. BCYF operates a network of 29 community centers, 19 pools and one beach to provide a wide range of affordable activities including school-aged and adult education, family literacy, high school equivalency exam preparation and testing, youth employment, violence prevention and intervention, senior activities, recreation and enrichment.

    BCYF Summer Fun Grants RFP Now Available

    Mayor Martin J. Walsh and BCYF are pleased to release the 2015 Summer Fun Grants RFP. Applicants may apply for a 2015 Summer Fun Grant of up to $4,000 to support fun, safe, enriching youth programming.  Please see the RFP for details and instructions.

    Getting Girls in the Game

    BCYF Quincy Community Center and BCYF Tynan Community Center in partnership with Shooting Touch are hosting this basketball skills training and personal development program for girls ages 7-12 beginning in April. For more information please see the flyer or contact one of the centers directly.

  • Exam and Pencil (75)

    HiSET Exam Testing Information (formerly the GED)

    The new HiSET Exam (formerly the GED) for Massachusetts High School Equivalency is now in place.  This new exam is computer based (taken on a computer) and BCYF is one of the first places in Massachusetts to offer this exam.

    PLEASE NOTE: All registration is online.  There will no longer be registration at the BCYF Administrative Offices.
