Boston’s Poet Laureate is tasked with raising the status of poetry in the everyday consciousness of Bostonians. The city’s poet laureate program was established in 2008 to highlight literary arts in Boston and to promote appreciation of poetry to its residents. The Poet Laureate is a ceremonial appointment.

    Arts on the Arcade

    Arts on the Arcade provides summer entertainment at Samuel Adams Park, Fridays, July 11 - August 29 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Each week there will be talented visual and craft artists exhibiting and selling their work, as well as special musical performances.
