Intergovernmental Relations
Intergovernmental Relations coordinates the City's dealings with the federal, state, and other local governments, seeking to foster constructive links between the City and these entities. The department keeps the Mayor informed about intergovernmental issues and assists him in representing the City's interests in these matters. In addition, the office serves as a liaison between the Administration and the Boston City Council.
