    Boston's Climate Action Leadership Committee presented Mayor Thomas M. Menino on Earth Day with a set of wide-ranging recommendations aimed at significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preparing for the risks of climate change in Boston.

    LEDs A Bright New Idea

    As part of Mayor Menino's overall efforts to "green" Boston, the City has been exploring the use of LED lighting for public spaces, sidewalks and roadways through the installation of a demonstration project on Boston Common.
